Why was the guide created?
- It was created to address the specific needs of the Ummah through our Unity Project’s foci of the stated Goals.
- To keep up with the pace of change, the Ummah can no longer take an ad hoc approach to rebuilding, renewing and re-vitalizing the Ummah from within.
What is our Focus?
Our Focus is where the proposed Commissions learn, collaborate, and share ideas for the existential, material, and spiritual advancement of the Ummah. We rely on a shared vision by Muslim Thought Leaders, Ulema who must analyze which capabilities and goals are essential for the Ummah Unity movement to thrive and stay contextually relevant.
What exactly is an Ummatic Goal?
It’s the sum of the skills, knowledge, and experiences of co-lead stakeholders and Commissions as a team, who will need to help the project / movement to achieve its goals, for the direct benefit of the Ummah, to improve its lived experience.
Why do Development Goals matter?
For the Ummah to be contextually responsive, it must focus on broad capability building across all levels of its diverse continuency to drive deep and lasting changes, using an agile and cross-functional, cross madhaap collaboration, and rapid scaling.
What do the 4 Goals encompass?
The Goals state a few of the needs and the wants of the Ummah. They are initiatives, whIch will be developed, sustained and supported by diverse, cross sectoral, existing, Muslim Organizations, who will advance the “Unity of Purpose” project’s Goals, strategies and function areas. These Goals shift the Unity movement from a static, narrow, sectarian focus to being responsive to the contextual needs and wants of the Ummah.
Based on Qur’anic practices the Goals are for building an effective:
- Prophetic Contextual Deen activist methods, tools, strategies for the Ummah’s Development were researched and jointly developed.
- These Goals will serve, as a compelling social agenda which might help to improve the lived conditions of the Ummah, and with possible Ummah unifying spinoffs.
