Calling on the Ummah to “put Allah’s Will at the center of the Ummah’s transformation”.
A grouping of concerned Muslim activists have created an interim Task Force to launch an advocacy campaign targeting the Muslim community to turn the spotlight on the critical role of the Ummah in promoting targeted transforming, developmental systems, and to call for greater support for the spiritual, existential, and material development of the Ummah.
The “Unity of Purpose Project” is principally aimed to engage Muslims to honestly, boldly, and creatively confront the major problems and challenges of understanding the assumptions underpinning strategic Unity and leadership in the context of a fractious Muslim community. The strategic unity and leadership focus appeal is to:
- Engage all Muslims with the Divine Good as stated in the Noble Quran
- Model the Goal of a “Unity of Purpose” as an act of Ibadat, in the presence of and for the Divine
- Advance and promote Quranic values as a Divine Good, for all Muslims and Humanity
- Model the revolutionary Prophets fearless promotion of justice even against an unjust Establishment, which would mean really to insist on a necessary anti-sectarianism approach confronting the challenges of reactionary forces, bent on detracting from the Divine message and thus short circuiting spiritually, the Quran as the living Will of the Divine Good.
In particular, the campaign aims to:
- Advocate for the need for transformative systems which will adapt and support community change agents: through better Mutaqqi thought leadership and a development focus. It is envisioned that these conditions will foster innovation, motivation and raising the status of the ummah’s material, existential and spiritual status.
- Show how mutaqqi conscientized, Allah driven and empowered unmatic agents can be central agents in the transformation of social systems and improving the lives of Muslims through concrete targeted positive, social safety nets, to benefit the ummah.
- Mobilize countries and donor organizations to pledge targeted support for the project
- Raise the status of the Ummah by drawing attention to how a Mutaqqi thought leadership can bring about the transformation of systems, by “inserting the Will of God the Almighty Allah, for the public good”.
